The Nitzan Unit for victims of sexual trauma was established to provide a tailored response to women dealing with various post-traumatic symptoms present in their daily lives. The program is intended for women, who are entitled to benefits of a rehabilitation basket, who wish to enter an intensive rehabilitation process that includes both emotional and rehabilitation aspects. The Nitzan Unit for victims of sexual trauma was established to provide a tailored response to women who are dealing with various post-traumatic symptoms that are present in their daily lives.

The program is intended for women, who are entitled to benefits provided by a rehabilitation basket, who wish to enter an intensive rehabilitation process that includes both emotional and rehabilitation aspects.

Duration of the program - three years

The Nitzan Unit has two main programs:

  • Group house - living in an apartment for four (in separate rooms) aged 20-25. The program includes:
  •  Presence of rehabilitation counselors during the morning and evening hours, including on weekends.
  •  Psychotherapy and treatment coordination - twice a week
  • Participation in a DBT group (acquiring tools and skills for emotional regulation)
  • Follow-up by a clinical dietitian for eating disorders as needed.
  • Weekly group apartment meeting with the head of the program team.

The External program - independent living in the community alongside a therapeutic-rehabilitation program that includes:

  • Meetings with two rehabilitation counselors during the week.
  • Psychotherapy and treatment coordination - twice a week.
  • Participation in the DBT group, acquiring tools and skills for emotional regulation.
  • Follow-up by a clinical dietitian for eating disorders as needed.

Admission:

1. Recognition by the rehabilitation basket.

2. Demonstration of a high level of readiness to integrate into a rehabilitation and treatment program with a clear goal of stabilizing post-traumatic symptoms.

3. Integration upon entering the program in an occupational setting.

4. Correct bmi.

5. Coping ability and self-possession at times when there is no team response.
